A letter to President Obama and Congress
Dear President Obama,Nancy Pelosi,Harry Reed and Congress.
You remind me of the most spoiled children I have ever seen in my life. It's all about you and what you can get. You have to come to your senses and understand what you are getting these United States into is an unsustainable spending frenzy. The president came in and said that we would have the most transparent government and there would be no pet projects or earmarks in any bills.
So then Congress rushes through this supposed stimulus package. I still can't believe that Congress voted on a bill they didn't even read. It is inconceivable to me that anyone left or right could vote on a bill that they had no idea what was really in it. But with the president's battle cry of its an emergency hurry hurry quick we have to pass this right away or we are doomed. This is a crisis. (By the way Mr. Obama you really sound like Chicken Little Crisis! Crisis! Crisis!) So you rushed the bill through and pat yourselves on the back of what a wonderful thing you have done. And then this entire emergency spending that we supposedly desperately need doesn't even get spent it just trickles out here and there. I think the SNL skit has it right. The Chinese would like to get kissed if you're going to have sex with them.
And that truly offends me to the core. A communist nation telling us that we are spending recklessly and need to curb our spending habits.
In comes the Obama administration with its promises of transparency in government you can believe in.
So right away comes this so-called stimulus package. With thousands of pet projects and earmarks. It appears to me and most people that I talk to that Congress simply went to the cupboard and pulled out every ridiculous spending proposal that they haven't been able to tack on to something else and threw it into the stimulus package.
But that wasn't enough so they tack on a bunch more wasteful spending into the military appropriations bill. And let's stick a bunch more crap that we can't possibly afford into the omnibus spending bill.
Dear President Obama what happened to your promise not to sign any legislation that had earmarks or pork barrel spending in it. I don't believe anything you have signed didn't have some earmarks or pork barrel spending of some kind.
Then you get on TV and tell me what a wonderful thing you and Congress have just done.
I don't know if you are completely ignorant of what you are doing. I am starting to think your plan is to bankrupt the United States of America. And then propose some sort of world government to help bail out the United States. I just don't know I can't figure it out for sure.
Every day the mainstream media tells me how intelligent and what a great man you are. So I can’t believe that you are simply ignorant of what you are doing. And I think we are starting to see your master plan. I know by speaking out I will be branded as a right wing whack job racist. But I don't care you and Congress are destroying the United States. You are trying to turn us into a European like state with oppressively high taxes and continuous double digit unemployment along with falling living standards. I do not wish to go to the government with my hat in hand every time I want to do something. It offends me to think what you or turning the United States into. You would have the American citizens be subservient to the government. That is not the way our country was founded.
Supposedly you are a constitutional scholar. It appears to me and most of the American people that you and Congress are using the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as something to wipe your butt with.
I have always voted. I have never before been politically active. But I am active now. I will be financially supporting and carrying signs for candidates who are going to try to stop this socialism express. And candidates that will return us to the United States that the founding fathers intended. Which apparently you don't know is small government and personal freedom.
I am getting sick and tired of you President Obama and Congress simply ignoring the Constitution or waving the Constitution in our face when it suits you.
Your Chicago type politics are disgusting. Chicago has been known as one of the most corrupt city governments dating back before Al Capone. Now you have brought that corrupt type of governing to Washington, DC.
Mr. Obama you need to think about something you are the president of the United States. It is your job to represent the people of the United States. All the people not just the far left whack jobs that scream the loudest. It offends me to the core the way you travel around the world and apologize for being the United States. Are we perfect no but it is not your job to go around and kiss everybody's butt apologize and asked for forgiveness because of all the problems that the United States has caused.
What about all of the good the United States has done and What about the fact that the United States has kept the world from being taken over by megalomaniac people with visions of one world totalitarianism government i.e. World War II. If it wasn't for the United States every capital in the world would probably be flying either the Nazi flag or the rising Sun flag and we would have this one world government that you appear to be pushing us towards.
And as long as I am speaking my mind you are the president of the United States not some rock star. I believe you have had more face time on television then the last three presidents combined. If you want to be a star please leave the presidency and get your own reality show. If you want to be the president of the United States please do your job which apparently you do not understand is to represent the people of the United States and the best interests of the United States. Then you probably can get rid of about 400 or 500 of the PR people that are running around trying to book you on the latest late-night talk show.
And please stop tripping around the world. Every time you go somewhere it appears that you give out money. Are you trying to buy friendship. Don't you know that people are laughing at you and your checkbook diplomacy. By the way the checkbook is empty.
Case in point your Copenhagen trip. Now you are trying to put the American taxpayer on the hook for billions of dollars in taxes to be sent to other countries to help them green their economy. The only thing you are going to green is corruption. You're transparent government has zero transparency and no accountability. This is simply part of your vision of redistribution of wealth. That is socialism Mr. Obama.
I am quivering with excitement over the thought of voting out as many of your co-conspirators as possible in Congress in 2010 and I am thrilled with the prospect of voting you out in 2012. My hope is that you will not do so much damage to the United States before we send you back to Chicago as a private citizen that it cannot be undone.
You and Congress are like putting an alcoholic in charge of a liquor store. Mr. President you and Congress obviously have a serious spending disorder. Stop this insanity before it is too late. And your recent calls for fiscal responsibility and having to get the national debt under control what a joke you spent money we don't have on crap we don't need and now you're trying to talk about fiscal responsibility give me a break.
By the way when you send out your secret police to pick me up. Can I call dibs on the top bunk at the reeducation camp. The preceding statement was humor. I hope. I know it's for my own good.

After the healthcare takeover what's next
If Obama and Congress are able to ram through this health care takeover what's next. I believe they are going to move on to Cap and Tax. Here are two things that the president has said many times. Quote "I will not raise taxes on 95% the American people". Second quote "The prices for energy will necessarily rise dramatically" with the implementation of the Cap and Trade bill. It has been stated by many people in government and private industry that the average power bill for a US home will double or triple with the implementation of the Cap and tax bill. I pay an average of $300.00 a month for electricity so you're telling me that my power bill is going to average between $600.00 and $900.00 per month. I don't care what you try and call it that is a tax. That means that I will have to pay between $3600.00 and $7,200.00 a year in additional tax that is added to my power bill. And I live in the Pacific Northwest which has some of the lowest priced energy costs in America. Think about it what are you going to be paying.
And why is this so necessary. because we have to save the planet from the evil humans who are destroying it. But wait a minute didn't a long court battle finally require the supposedly global warming scientists to release there e-mail communications. And in those e-mail communications didn't they discuss how to tweak, delete, fake and outright lie about the results so they could continue to stand on a position that is based on junk science and falsified data.
I am old enough to remember that in the 70s the whack jobs scientists and chicken Little environmentalists were running around saying that there was global cooling and we were going to slip into another ice age if we didn't do something dramatic to change your evil ways. Then after a decade of very slight but recordable increases in the temperature records around the world. They switched to global warming. Now we have had or 10 years of slight but measurable decreases in temperature records around the world. They have now switched to global climate change. That way there covered if it goes up or down. Remember even the falsified data is showing minuscule changes in temperature.the chicken Little environmentalists are running around saying we only have a few years left. According to the so-called experts back in the 70s the earth should be 75% covered with snow and ice. And predictions from Al I'm getting rich off global warming Gore he predicted 15 years ago that we would have temperatures so high by now it would be difficult if not impossible to even cultivate crops over 50% of the world.
Make no mistake about it this is simply an attempt to grab more power for the government and take more money out of your pocket. And remember you are a stupid child and it is for your own good. Please wake up America do your own research. Look up and read the e-mails on the Internet if you are not shocked at what you read. Then maybe you will enjoy the coming big government nanny state taking your rights and your money away and then giving you a little bit of your money back in some program and expecting you to kiss their feet and worship them for what they are doing for you.
As for me I don't think so. Smaller government less taxes personal responsibility. I know that is heresy in today's politically correct world.

Healthcare bill
Here is my analogy of the health care system. Do we have some problems with the health care as it exists? yes certainly we do. I liken our health care system to a home.
You own a home it's a good home it's always served your needs in the past. It has a good foundation a solid roof everything works pretty good. But the paint is a little thin the carpets are a little worn. In other words you could use a little remodeling. But now the government gets involved. You tell the government I would like to repaint put in some new carpets maybe add a new appliance or two. And the government tells you "oh no no no! What you need is a whole new house". So here's what we're going to do. We are going to burn your house down. Send in some government contractors who you have no control over to build you a brand-new government approved House. You tell the government are you crazy I just need a little remodel.
The government tells you "silly child you just don't know what you need". Were are going to burn your house down and build you a new house it's for your own good. And just so you know your new house is going to cost five times what it should. Because you have to pay for new houses for other people who cannot afford them. And we have to create several new government departments and programs so we can manage all this new home construction.
So you asked the government can I at least have some say-so in the design of my new home. To which the Government replies "don't be silly we know what's good for you. Just sit back and we'll take care of everything. And don't forget to thank us. You ungrateful little brat"
So please America WAKE UP!! call your Senator! Call your congressman! Tell them not burn your house down.
My senators are going to vote for this healthcare monstrosity. I still keep e-mailing them calling them and sending them letters telling them to stop this insanity. It probably won't change there vote but if enough of us contact our senators and congressmen maybe we can sway enough votes to stop this thing.

Nancy Pelosi rolls out the house health-care bill
Dang Nancy lightened up on the Botox
Well Nancy Pelosi rolled out the House version of the healthcare bill. She stood before the cameras with all of her fawning and adoring supporters. And announced that the almost 2000 page bill was the single greatest piece of legislation in the history of the modern world. And it won't cost one thin dime.
Unfortunately I was drinking a cup of coffee when I heard that. Consequently I had to get a towel and clean up the mess as I was laughing so hard that coffee was shooting right out of my nose.
She then went on further to say that the group behind her was a coalition of bipartisan support. Which we find out later was all staffers and supporters. No public or even other Congressman who opposed her view were allowed to be at the news conference. I'm sure this is not unusual for either side to restrict who has access to their news conferences and or meetings.
I just find it disturbing that San Fran Nan would stand up and just flat lie about the bipartisan support that she has for this health care monstrosity. When in reality there is probably only one or two Republicans that might sign on to the government takeover of health care. And I can't for the life of me figure out why they call their self Republicans anyway they are just big government Democrats in Republican clothing. Don't get me wrong most of the Republicans are in it for power and money as well. It just sickening how corrupt our government has become. They just ignore the Constitution and continue to grab power Democrat and Republican alike.

My first post
I have never blogged before. But I am so shocked at what the US government is doing that I have to speak out. It appears to me that the government thinks the American people are ignorant sheep that must be forced to do what is good for them. And they figure while they're at it they may as well feather their own nests. They have dramatically increased the size of government they have definitely ran up our deficit. And they keep telling us everything is a crisis as they ram through 1000 page plus bills spending hundreds of billions of dollars. And they are not even reading the bills before they pass them.
The president says there are no ear marks or pork in these bills. Then We find out we have spent $1.5 million to put in a bike path. $200,000 for tattoo removal in California. $1.791 million on bovine odor research. That sure sounds like pork to me.
A $700 billion bank bailout $787 billion stimulus package $410 billion omnibus spending bill $3.6 trillion budget the total in the last 14 months is estimated at a staggering $7 trillion they have spent or committed to spend to save our economy. It sounds to me like they're spraying gasoline on a burning house. I absolutely cannot understand this line of thinking.
We cannot keep printing money like it was just made out of paper. If they keep going like they are you will have to push a wheelbarrow full of dollars to the store to get a loaf of bread and there won't be any bread there.
Now they're trying to ram through a health-care bill that the president says will be budget neutral. Answer me this question does anybody anywhere know of anything that the US government has done which he's come in on its original projected budget. The answer of course is no it's always doubled triple or quadruple what they estimate. Conservative estimates are that it will add a cost of one trillion dollars a year for the next 10 years for this health care plan. My question is how long do you think China and other countries will continue to fund our reckless spending. The Chinese have already been warning us and giving us advice.
